Food Truck Submission Form
About Food Truck
In support of Pierce Transit’s Strategic Plan, our Agency is committed to finding innovative ways to not only engage with Pierce Transit employees, but also the community at large. To boost employee morale and cultivate relationships with local businesses, we are bringing local food trucks to Pierce Transit on select days for employees to purchase fresh food. As a public transit agency, our mission is to move people providing public transportation services and to reduce congestion by decreasing the number of single occupant vehicle trips operating on our roadways. There are limited food options near our headquarters; hosting food trucks will reduce number of employee trips in and out of our campus. Hosting food trucks on campus also allows employees more time for eating lunch, eliminating travel time.
Project Food Truck will take place once a month beginning August 2019 through November. Trucks will park in the Training Center visitor parking lot, depending on food truck availability.
