Ride Pierce Transit to the Washington State Fair
The Fair is back, and Pierce Transit is making it easy to get to the fun! In addition to regularly scheduled bus service in the area, Pierce Transit offers Express service to the Fair. Riding Pierce Transit offers visitors a convenient transportation option that eliminates traffic and parking hassles while saving time and money. The Fair will open for the Labor Day weekend on September 3 and run through September 26, except Tuesdays and September 8. For additional convenience, Fair-goers can purchase their Fair admission, amusement ride and game tickets online at Thefair.com/tickets.
Pierce Transit Fair Express Service
Express service operates via bus and SHUTTLE paratransit vehicles (for registered SHUTTLE customers who have requested a ride) between the South Hill Mall and the Blue Gate on days the Fair is open. Trips from the mall begin at 10 a.m. on weekdays (except Tuesdays) and 9 a.m. on weekends and Labor Day Monday, September 6. Trips run every 30 minutes on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday (except September 8) and every 15 minutes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the duration of the Fair. Fair-goers can park for free by the south end of the mall, then board the Express for a fast and easy ride to The Fair.
