SCOPE OF WORK

General Information: This contract shall consist of a five (5)-year indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery contract for the fabrication and delivery to Pierce Transit Headquarters of transit passenger shelters as described below. The minimum specifications that will be required in the fabrication of the proposed shelters are included in this Request for Proposals and include shelter size and type, and powdercoat requirements. Design life of the shelters must provide at least 10 years useful life for shelter base as well as coatings, linings, fasteners and all other parts and attachments, and must hold a minimum warranty of 3 years on parts, fabrication and finish. All shelters provided under this contract must meet the minimum standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act. The proposed procurement will include six shelter types: "Standard Single", “Standard Double”, "Business District Single", “Business District Double”, “Urban Contemporary” and “True Cantilevered”.

As an option, Pierce Transit will also consider proposals for alternate shelter designs as follows:

Shelters of steel or aluminum that meet the general sizes of the Pierce Transit Standard and Business District Shelters, that can be converted later to advertising shelters with standard ad spaces, as described below.

Order Quantities: Pierce Transit will purchase a single order of a minimum of 30 shelters of various sizes and styles during the first contract year. The maximum allowable quantity during the 5-year contract term shall be 300 shelters. Future orders for standard shelters shall be a minimum of ten (10) each; business shelters, Contemporary and True Cantilevered shelters may be ordered in lower quantities.
