PIERCE TRANSIT has requirements for the installation and/or replacement of our bus stop shelter glass throughout the year. Quantities and sizes shown represent approximate annual usage to be used only for bid evaluation and shall not be considered a guaranteed quantity. Orders will be placed in quantities and sizes as needed throughout the term of the contract.

Supply
The contractor will be expected to supply the 7/32", 3/8" laminated glass within a 24-hour time period. The time period for the 1/2" laminated glass shall be 10 days. The time period for the tempered glass shall be two days. All glass supplied shall have sanded edges.

If the contractor does not meet the delivery requirements, Pierce Transit may in an emergency be forced to purchase the required glass from another source. Any increased costs incurred in that event will be charged to the contractor.

Removal and Installation Fee
Removal/Installation fee will be a flat fee based on the jurisdiction where the bus stop is located. Prospective bidders understand that there is no guarantee implied as to how many removal/installations the contractor will be requested to do. Pierce Transit will determine the need for contractor removal/installation on a case by case basis. The contractor may however assume that most, if not all jobs requiring 1/2" glass will be assigned to the contractor.

Removal or Installation Fee
Occasionally the contractor will be requested to just remove glass or install glass. Fee shall be a percentage of the Removal and Installation Fees.

Pricing
Pricing will be based on square footage. All square foot prices apply whether for install, pickup or delivery. No additional shipping/delivery charges allowed. No extra charge for sheet waste. Billed prices shall be based solely on the square foot pricing, regardless of sizes cut. Successful contractor will have a one-time only opportunity during each one-year contract period to pass along manufacturer's price increases/decreases. Contractor must submit documentation from the manufacturer to Pierce Transit showing the actual unit price increases/decreases, not percentages, for approval of any price changes before any price increase/decrease can take place.

Term of Contract
The term of the contract will be for one year, with an optional one-year period.
