PIERCE TRANSIT wishes to place an annual contract with a supplier for an "as needed" order of bulbs and headlamps used to maintain and repair transit vehicles (buses), support vehicles (vans, trucks, forklifts, etc) and facilities equipment (compressors, blowers and the like.)

QUANTITY
The attached list indicates those bulbs and headlamps most commonly used by Pierce Transit and the historical annual usage rate for each item. The quantities shown represent approximate usage, which are to be used for bid evaluation and shall not be considered guaranteed quantities. Orders will be placed in quantities as needed throughout the term of the contract.

BULBS AND HEADLAMPS
The bulbs and headlamps used are identified by universal product numbers. PIERCE TRANSIT desires bids based on quality bulbs and headlamps. Bidders shall indicate the manufacturer being proposed with the bid submittal. PIERCE TRANSIT's experience over time will determine the acceptability of different manufacturers of bulbs and headlamps for future bids. Only new parts shall be supplied. No used, reconditioned and rebuilt parts will be accepted by Pierce Transit.

PIERCE TRANSIT may have a need to add bulbs or headlamps not included in the bid during the term of the contract. It is expected that these items will be priced by the same method as the bid.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Suppliers shall ensure that only bulbs and headlamps quoted are supplied, and shall make every reasonable effort to ensure that no counterfeit parts are delivered.

DELIVERY
PIERCE TRANSIT requires delivery of bulbs and headlamps within ten (10) working days of individual orders. If this requirement is not consistently met, the contractor will be put on notice to correct the problem. After two (2) such notices, PIERCE TRANSIT reserves the right to terminate the contract.

PRICING
Prices quoted shall be firm for the term of the contract.

PIERCE TRANSIT reserves the right to purchase additional types of bulbs and headlamps not presently included in the specifications throughout the contract year. It is expected that these items will be priced by the same method as the bid. Therefore, bidders shall indicate the brand, price list, column and percent of discount in their bid.

TERM OF CONTRACT
The contract shall be for a period of one (1) year.

PAYMENT
Each order shall be placed by use of a Purchase Order. Pierce Transit will remit payment within 30 days of receipt of a correct invoice. Incorrect invoices shall be subject to correction and/or rejection by Pierce Transit.
