Quantity
The specifications list the parts most commonly used by PIERCE TRANSIT and the approximate annual usage rate for each item. The quantities shown represent historical usage and are to be used for bid evaluation only and shall not be considered guaranteed quantities. Orders will be placed “as needed” throughout the term of the contract.

Parts
All parts shall be manufactured by Meritor and/or Axletech. Model numbers shall be as specified herein, for the term of the contract. PIERCE TRANSIT reserves the right to add Meritor and/or Axletech parts not included in the bid during the term of the contract. It is expected that these items will be priced by the same method as the bid. Therefore, please indicate the price list and percent of discount or other method of pricing in your bid. Quality Assurance Suppliers shall ensure that only parts specified herein are supplied, and shall make every reasonable effort to ensure that no counterfeit parts are delivered.

Pricing
Prices shall be firm and fixed for the first year of the contract. The successful contractor may request a one-time only opportunity during the extension contract year to pass along manufacturer's price increases/decreases. Contractor shall submit the manufacturer’s documentation to Pierce Transit showing the contractor’s actual unit price increases/decreases. Percentages are not acceptable. Altered pricing shall take effect thirty (30) days from Pierce Transit’s acceptance of the updated prices.

Delivery
PIERCE TRANSIT requires delivery within ten (10) working days of each individual order. If this requirement is not consistently met, the supplier shall be put on notice to correct the situation. PIERCE TRANSIT reserves the right to terminate the contract after the vendor has been notified two (2) times of failure to meet this requirement.

Products other than specified herein will not be accepted for delivery by PIERCE TRANSIT and shall be returned to the supplier at their cost.
