INTRODUCTION
Pierce Transit is requesting proposals to furnish all necessary labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and supplies to satisfactorily perform janitorial services at various Pierce Transit facilities located throughout Pierce County. Pierce Transit facilities to be considered in this proposal are:

Maintenance and Operations Base, Buildings 1, 2 and 3
Commerce Street, North-end Bus Turnaround Facility and Theatre Square
Tacoma Dome Station, East and West
17th and Broadway Layover Facility

Although Pierce Transit prefers to make a single contract award for all listed facilities, proposers may submit a proposal for individual facilities or for all facilities. However, proposals must be submitted by facility and not as a lump sum price for all facilities (see bid form). Pierce Transit reserves the right to award a separate contract for each location.

This Request for Proposals (RFP) outlines a description of the services sought and the documents interested firms will be expected to submit. All requested information shall be submitted in the format required by 4:00 p.m., July 30, 2009.

Prospective Proposers are encouraged to attend a pre-proposal conference to be held at Pierce Transit Training Facility, 3720 96th Street SW, at 1:30 p.m. on July 22, 2009. Following the pre-proposal conference, a walk-through of the base facilities will provide an opportunity to have specific questions answered. Tours of the facilities WILL NOT be provided before or after the pre-proposal conference. Tours of the off-site facilities will be scheduled with attendees at the pre-proposal conference.

Term Of Contract
The contract shall be for a term of one (1) year with options for two (2) additional one-year contract terms. Pierce Transit reserves the right to cancel the contract for whatever reason upon providing a thirty (30) day written notice.
