Pierce Transit is inviting qualified firms to submit proposals for a facilities condition assessment and the acquisition of a software program that will allow Pierce Transit to pro-actively manage its facilities. The facilities for inclusion in the program are listed in Attachment D but the program shall be expandable to incorporate additional facilities. Such a program will allow Pierce Transit to understand the condition and value of buildings and facility assets, compare building to building, or system to system, accurately estimate funding needs, allocate limited resources based on clearly defined priorities, evaluate asset performance against targets, determine financial impacts and manage on-going capital spending, thereby increasing long-term use, value of facility assets and a better understanding of ongoing operating costs.
