A brief History
Founded in 1979, Pierce Transit
is a nationally recognized leader in
the transportation industry, serving
Pierce County's 767,000 residents in
a 414 square mile area. As Washington's second largest transit agency, Pierce Transit provides more than 50,000 trips a day
to jobs, schools, doctors' offices, and
every place in between.
A Board Guides Our Actions
A nine-member Board of Commissioners oversees the Agency. The Board is made up of elected officials representing Pierce County, Tacoma, Lakewood, Puyallup, University Place, and the small cities and towns of our service area.

SHUTTLE
Specialized transportation for customers who are unable
to use the fixed route bus system due to their disabilities.
Vanpool & Rideshare
Ridesharing services include vanpools, Park & Ride lots, and
efficient commute programs for more than 130 employers.
